How to build a life together Chapter 7: Alex Pov (FLASHBACK)

(Italics represent a flashback)
Everything was going great. The kiss was better than I imagined. I moved my lips on hers. She moved my lips on mine. She moved her hand on my lower back. I moved my hand on her thigh. Just then she moved her body away from me and that’s when things started going not so great.

Then she told me she was intersex and I freaked out and shut down on her. I didn’t know what it meant despite her explanation so I decided to let her leave. Once she left I did what every human looking for answers would do, I turned to Google. I found every article on the subject, read it, and even took notes when necessary.

When I was done it was around two in the morning and that’s when I realized that she was right. It wasn’t what I expected. I got up the next day and went to work trying not to think about her. I wondered if I had made the best choice or if I had made the worst mistake. I knew I liked her. The chemistry was amazing but chemistry and liking someone doesn’t complete the dimensions of a successful relationship. So for now the only rational option was to forget her.

Surprisingly, I don’t see her at the bus station or on the bus in fact I don’t see her for the next month and a half which would be fine with me until I find myself reading her bio on Wikipedia, then going to see her play which quickly escalated to me stalking her on every social media site she was on. I took a leap of faith at the end of the second month and decided to hang around for an autograph when I went to see her play.

“Am an ass,”  I say as she signed a picture of herself. She looks up at me then back down at the picture continues to write then moves on to the next fan without saying a word. I head out of the stadium feeling disappointed. I sit for a few minutes in my car gathering my thoughts. I look down at the picture and see three words that put a smile on my face, ‘Wait for me.’

“Hi,” I say when I open the door to my car when she knocked on the window once I told her where I was parked.

“Hey.” She says.

“I came here to apologize for the way I treated you. I am an ass and am sorry.”

“It's fine. I am used to it.”

“Can I take you out? I have a lot of things to say.” I said nervously.

“I have plans.”

“What about tomorrow night then?”

“I didn’t expect to ever see you again so I made plans that didn’t include you.”

“Okay. I deserved that but I am here trying. Please just give me a chance.”

“Am going out for some drinks you can join me if you would like to.

“Thank you,” I say as I hug her.
